This is a short story as there is very little to tell.
Through the NSW RSL, I was contacted by Greg B who had come across four WWII medals. These were awarded to NX43463 Ernest Ray Milton Bailey. I could only find a few records about Ernest but enough to determine he had not married. I also found a family tree belonging to a relative of Ernest.
A message to the tree owner, Kim, was quickly responded to and the case solved with little fuss. I'll send the medals off to Kim in the near future.
The returned medal tally is now 2809.
